Bloggers Disease and How to Over Come it

Hi, George here on the therapy couch, I’m OK.
(can yea see the cushion I've ripped, hope mom don't notice, it will be curtains for me!!!)

Anyways, I’m here today for you. My followers and the blogs I follow.

Just to put you in the picture.
I’m lucky that Mom gets to have a long time off in the summer, that means more walks for me, more time together and I get me paws on the paw top (well she does!)
Well, mom goes back to work next week, and that means less hours in the day to blog!! Bahahah,

Now mom seems to have come down with bloggers disease.
Don't worry, you cannot catch it, you bring it upon yourself.
I don’t see how this can happen she just types in want I want her to put and I haven’t got it.
Anyways this can affect any one of you at any time.
You might only have mild symptoms to start off with.
It’s great if you don’t get any, and let’s keep it that way.

It comes in the form of guilt and the pressure that starts to raise, when you cannot post, leave comments, away on holiday, can’t get around to all the blogs you follow, you get the picture.

So to take the pressure off , I’ve come up with some pointers to rid us of bloggers disease, and to become

Happy Bloggers

Enjoy writing your posts
If the fun has gone when you are writing your post, have a break.

Post about want you like and enjoy.
Not what you think others want to hear

Blog when you feel the need to.
Not when you think you have to

Don’t fret when you don’t leave comments
There’s just not the time in a day

If you don’t have time to blog don’t worry
You don’t see or talk to your best friends every day of the week
(Ok maybe some of you do)

If your furiend is ill let us know
Positive vibes or a prayer always helps

For the time that all of us know we will face, when a dear loyal furiend goes to the bridge
This is perhaps the hardest thing to deal with, but the support and empathy from fellow bloggers will hopefully help you at such a heart breaking sad time.

If you are going though a bad patch blog about it, if you feel you can
It will help just by putting it down, and posting it if you want, remember we are all part of a big caring net work, and will not judge you, we all go though bad patches. Someone will come up with just a small bit of advice that will lift you up.

Don’t get offended if someone posts something you don’t like.
We all have different personalities and points of view, what one person thinks is funny,
another one might not, and so on.

There is a world out there.
Go and enjoy it, you might fine you cannot wait to blog about it.

And remember the reason why you started blogging in the first place
I can’t answer that one; you have your own reasons.

Right “now are you feeling better mom”

Oh before I go this is a widget thingies I’ve made, if you would like it please help yourself.
I don’t want you to put my name to it, or where you got it from, its for all of you.
I don't mind if you don't follow me, you are here reading this so help yourself.

Happy Blogging.
"Mom can we go for a walk now PLEASE"

See Yea George xxx

Good boy for making your mom feel better. And keep taking your mom out for walks too, that really helps with the blues.

Hi George,
Furst.. Please tell your mom that I SAW what happened to your cushion. There were TWO SQUIRRELS that got in and did that!!! You are clear of all charges!!!
Now for the rest of the post. Thank you for the Badge. I DID help myself. It is grreat. THANKS Buddy.
And.. your words are soooooo WISE and WELL SPOKEN!!!
I would just like to add that if anyone needs to take some time off.. they should be sure to have a very trustworthy E-MAIL BUDDY to keep them posted about any sickness or injury or calls to that damned bridge.
I have always told my mom that when she gets tooo busy at times... to help me with my blogging... she should just pick a day or two a week to PAWMISE both of us the time to visit a tiny bit. At least spread the word that all is well... or not. I hope that you will NOT quit blogging altogether. I would REALLY REALLY miss you. I'm just sayin'.

What a great list! Sometimes there is a lot of pressure; I should keep this one posted.

That's beautiful and I agree with every word of it. It bothers me when blogging becomes a popularity contest, or people post things just to get other people to notice them. That's why I like your blog - you post about your outings, adventures, vacations, etc. And, you've certainly got the right idea about blogging by acknowledging all of these very important points. Kudos to you and mom, George!

My Shiver is notorious for chewing up pillows and things too. He's gotten better as he's gotten older but he's still naughty on occasion!

I have that bloggers infection too. But I'm ok with that. I always worry that my blog is boring but people keep coming back so I must be doing something right!

I hope your mom is feeling better now about not being able to blog as much. I hope she doesn't get too busy and stops blogging all together though. I would truly miss you both!

I'm going to snag your "Happy Blogging" badge, I really like it!

You really are a cutie, George! I love that 2nd picture.

Great advice. We've got a touch of Blog disease here, too.

We know about the disease your talking about. There is also blogger's gilt which has visited us once or twice.
Hey, you look to cute on that couch. Is it real leather or is it vinyl? My peeps are looking at getting the next couch and wonder what would travel best with scratchy dog paws. Dad said, we'll just teach them not to jump on the couch, but we all know that that won't happen. They are hesitant to do the leather thing because of mental issues but are now considering the man-made leather. We suppose your parents wouldn't be into that, would they now?

George mi man...you are a brilliant therapist and have offered some die-hard, no nonsense tips. I too have suffered for 20 months with this ailment, but you have put things out clearly on the table and it is now time to take action. Balzac agrees with your advice for he too wants to know why his mum is always at the computer....quality time is of the utmost importance here, and first things first....HAVE FUN! Hey George, can you come and play ball with me? Do you think our mums would mind if we hoped over the pond to see each other? SMiles, Balzac

Grrr. Just when Moma helped us write a LONG and very meaningful comment about your very well timed and well spoken blogpost, we lost our internet connection and zap! The comment disappeared.

We're not going to even TRY to redictate it. Mostly we were just saying, "Thanks".

Hi George,
I read your "clean up" post that you wrote today but oddly enough I couldn't leave a comment. Instead, I saw a big white box that said "Error" or "Service Unavailable" and I couldn't click on the word "comment". For some reason I can leave a comment here though....could it be a blogger.com issue? I hope so.
I know you appreciated my "housekeeping" blog called "I've been in a pickle" that was posted on 9-11-10. I totally agree with everything you said on today's post. I think I may take everyone's blog's off my sidebar and just use my Dashboard Reader thingy instead only b/c it makes things a lot safer from viruses. I noticed that Stopzilla stopped me from following a few blogs via google friend connect but allowed me to subscribe as a reader....strange!
Good night, my friend!
