Saturday Steps and a Stroll on a Sunday

Its just me and mom again, Dads busy learning to play lol!!
 so we need a break.
We're at Hodnet Hall and Gardens,
its only open a few weekends in the year,
spring is in full bloom,
so there's lots of flowers to show you
as we have a slow walk around.

The grass is lovely and soft on your paws,
its OK dogs are allowed to walk on it.

There was colour all over the place, I'll let you soak up the photos

It was a total chill out walk

"Hey mom I have an idea for these steps,
make sure you take a good photo of them"

"You don't have to shout I can hear you"

"Quick mom look behind you"

"George your shouting again"

"Look at them waiting to have their photo taken"
"I've got a photo OK"

"Mom have you taken plenty of photo's of the flowers 'cus their real pretty"
"Of course I have, You are just to busy sniffing to notice"

Will someone please tell her thats what us dogs do!!

You're not falling asleep are you!!! there are just a few more, it seams. Mom took loads!!!

"Hey mom tell them to move, their spoiling my photo"
"No George they are allowed to walk where they want"

I'm back, bet you thought it would never end lol!!

Look my tongue is the same colour as this Azalea

There's even Daisys in the grass!!
Thanks for joining us on our Stroll though Hodnet Hall Gardens

All the photos were taken with moms point and shoot.
Panasonic FZ38 as she can't manage the SLR when its just me and her ;)
The camera is at its best when taking close up shoots.

Till next time,
 Have a good week
See Yea George xxx

OMC George I'm first I cannot believe it!!!
I MOO'd at the cows instead of MOL at them.
You, my friend, live in a beautiful area. The flowers are so pretty and fresh their fragrance has traveled across the pond.
Happy Saturday and Hugs

That garden could easily be here in Virginia; we have many of the same things blooming around here now. So pretty!

What a great garden walk, George. England and Oregon are so similar in climate and plant varieties, we feel right at home!! Except you have better architecture, pubs and Welsh terriers named George!

Absolutely GORGEOUS (or maybe I should say Georgeous! :-) ) What a lovely blue sky day as well! The pictures are very nice for using your Point and Shoot, you really can't tell the difference. And I hear you on it being hard to use the SLR...I have a nice telephoto for my SLR and it rarely gets used 'cause it's too hard to walk 2 dogs and handle the heavy lens!

Unknown said...

Oh dear, it's so beautiful!! Your pictures and those flowers are gorgeous!!! How I wish I could visit there too, there are not many places are doggy friendly over here and the places that I'm allowed to go don't have those beautiful flowers like yours :(

What a gorgeous place! Love all the fabulous flower photos! Yeah George, Mom would have been sayin "Wait Roo" the whole time. That's what she tells me when we're in parks and she wants to get a photo. If she didn't add the Roo part I'd think she'd have changed my name to Wait. Shakin my head.

Love the ponds and that grass is to die for! Did you get to roll in it? Were there big bullfrogs in the pond? Dawg I would love to chase some bullfrogs. :P

Waggin at ya,
Roo

George mi man, I see my beloved Millie came over. She has a splendid yellow lab named PEACE LILY....she is too beautiful for words. I was coming by to ask your permission. You see, I am updating my sidebar with new photos. I have two of you already with two links to your blog. One of your pics is of you at Christmas and one at Halloween. I thank you for those photos! I want to update and may I replace those with the picture of you SLAYING THE DRAGON????? It would be linked out course to your WORLD HERE! The header would be the quote by G.K. Chesterton about how FAIRYTALES ARE TRUE NOT BECAUSE DRAGONS EXIST, BUT BECAUSE THEY TELL US DRAGONS CAN BE BEATEN!" Let me know. I never want to take a photo without permission.

HAVE A SPLENDID DAY IN THE GRASS! Anita and Balzac

That was a gorgeous walk in the park, George! Thanks for taking us-Mom LOVED the flowers. She said she could smell them clear over here in Oregon! (Actually we are in San Francisco this weekend). Check out my Saturday blog (http://sagechronicles.wordpress.com/2011/04/29/day-at-the-beach/). We gave you a "shout out".

Castles Crowns and Cottages said...

Oh you two are most kind!!!! THANK YOU and go out and make a perfect walk....I shall go out in our blustery weather and put out some garden urns to prepare for our first plantings around May 15th...they tell us out here to be cautious and not plant before then! We have the worst weather, but the prettiest springs and summers!

LOVE TO YOU BOTH, Anita and Balzac

George, this was such a great tour (as ALL of your tours are!). We so enjoy seeing all of the sights with you ... we especially loved the pictures of you waterside, by the tongue-colored azaleas, and on that rock. Oh and the COWS, too! :)

We hope you and mom have a great week!

How could your dad miss out on that one... it is the best one yet. My mom LOVED it! She even saw the Alaska State Flower, the forget-me-knot.
Hope you had a snack there, that would just have made it perfect!

Road Dog Tales said...

That was amazing, George! Your Mom is quite handy with that camera. Beautiful photos! Mom was happy to see all those azaleas as ours here in SC bloomed weeks ago. Other than that one rude couple who was ruining your pic, we didn't see anyone else. We're thinking we should consider moving to your area of the world if there's so few people around. Plus, they seem to welcome dogs there more. Hmmmm . . .
