Saturday Steps...The Shrewsbury Flower Show

Ok this is a post of two halves, because I was not allowed to go to the flower show, mom and dad took me the week before to have alook at them putting up the marquee's

I'd also like to dedcate this post to my blogging friend

its his birthday on Tuesday 23th.
I will be at his County Fair with my girlfriend Stanzie his sister
He loves gardening and growing veg,

The Flower Show takes place in
Shrewsburys Park called The Quarry,
the River Severn runs down the one side of it, and it has a Dingle.

Its not a wooded one, like others I have been to,
it has the most eye popping flower beds that I have ever seen and the grass is like hair!!! not a weed in site

Told you it was eye popping

Hidden in with all the flowers are rabbits

At one end there is a large pond

This piece of wood spoils the view for me!!!

Lots of nooks and crannies to look around

This is the area where the flower show is going to be

Take note of where I am in this photo, because mom has a photo taken in almost the same place when she was at the flower show,  see if you can spot it.

"OK mom show them the photos"

"OK mom I think that's quite enough photos for one day!! I can see you had a good time"

I need some fresh air and a walk, after that
I'll be back on Tuesday,
to send my birthday wishes to Wyatt

Have a Good Weekend
See You Soon George xxx

Sunday Steps....A Look Around The Harbour

Hello its Sunday Steps,
I've got to get in my holiday posts!

This is Aunties caravan.

Mom and dad have been coming here to
Trearddur Bay, Anglesey North Wales
for lots of years, I was here last year also.
But this year is the last time, so mom made sure she got plenly of photos.

Trearddur Bay is on the west coast of Anglesey close to Holyhead.
This is one of the main crossing places to get to Ireland on the ferry, so it can get very busy.
Most folks only see the docks and train station on their way though
This is
The Celtic Gateway Bridge, which goes
from the high street to the ferry and train station

Today I'm going to show you the other side of the harbour

I'm back, mom just wanted to have a word!!!

"the reason it is our last time in the caravan, Auntie has been asked to replace it with a new one, as it is getting old. It looks ok from the outside but the floor has gone in places, and the owner of the site wants newer caravans on there.
To have a new van would be just to much money, so its got to go. We have enjoyed coming to this place, me for the last 32 years and Howard 50!!! next year we are looking forward to finding somewhere new to go to and explore"

"of course George it will have to be dog friendly"

"Thanks Mom, come on where we going"

"Dad and I have some ideas you will just have to wait"

Thanks for coming back for
 Sunday Steps
Have a good week
See Yea George xxx

Saturday Steps...... Lets Go Fly A Kite

These are a bit steep!!!

I'm on my way to see the Red Kite's being feed, but that doesn't happen until 3.00pm, so we just had time for a quick visit to
 Elan Valley
I've just remembered this was one of the places
that I had on my birthday voting list last year.
It supplies water to Birmingham

That wall at the end of the photo is holding back all of the water!!
Mom didn't take much notice of these large stones but we think each one represents a county in Wales.

When the rain fall has been heavy the water comes over the top

Lets go

Yes I was on a lead,
(you know I always am :)

Looks like I am invisible on this photo!!!

We just had time to walk back to the car and drive around to this dam, remember we didn't want to miss the feeding of the kites

I was disappointed that the time was short here.
You can see more about the dams on this Link

I can read the Welsh writing, you know I am a Welsh Terrier
It says Kite Feeding Site

Dog friendly to, I was allowed in the hides.
It was boring for me as I couldn't see out.
I just had to wait until mom had finished taking
around 250 photos of flying birds!!!
Don't worry I've only let her put six photos of the birds on my blog

Oh five then, there's no birds on this one!!

Can to spot the albino one

They were all over the place

I spot 39 on this photo!!

The best photo she took.

This was one bird that stayed still to take a photo lol
A Peacock, he was tapping on the window trying to get in.
