Sunday Steps....A Look Around The Harbour

Hello its Sunday Steps,
I've got to get in my holiday posts!

This is Aunties caravan.

Mom and dad have been coming here to
Trearddur Bay, Anglesey North Wales
for lots of years, I was here last year also.
But this year is the last time, so mom made sure she got plenly of photos.

Trearddur Bay is on the west coast of Anglesey close to Holyhead.
This is one of the main crossing places to get to Ireland on the ferry, so it can get very busy.
Most folks only see the docks and train station on their way though
This is
The Celtic Gateway Bridge, which goes
from the high street to the ferry and train station

Today I'm going to show you the other side of the harbour

I'm back, mom just wanted to have a word!!!

"the reason it is our last time in the caravan, Auntie has been asked to replace it with a new one, as it is getting old. It looks ok from the outside but the floor has gone in places, and the owner of the site wants newer caravans on there.
To have a new van would be just to much money, so its got to go. We have enjoyed coming to this place, me for the last 32 years and Howard 50!!! next year we are looking forward to finding somewhere new to go to and explore"

"of course George it will have to be dog friendly"

"Thanks Mom, come on where we going"

"Dad and I have some ideas you will just have to wait"

Thanks for coming back for
 Sunday Steps
Have a good week
See Yea George xxx

Hi again Bro - you goin' OK? Tell your pawrents that my pawrents came into Wales on the ferry from Ireland down the other end - from Rosslare Harbour to Pembroke in Sth Wales, so they missed your spot!!

I'm crushed about that caravan, my pawrents would give their eye teeth to have that at their disposal - but I'm sure you peeps will make it right and find another (dog friendly) holiday spot for you to travel. My mum is always researching dog friendly holidays.... the latest idea involves hiring a camper trailer and seeing some of the Flinders Ranges - they also call it the outback, and I've heard the words "possums, wombats and kangaroos" being used when describing it. My ma - however, is a wimp and she thinks she can rough it...... but I worry about her not being able to have electricity and runnin' water and so forth!! We will wait and see what happens!

Your holiday does look wonderful, it's great to get away huh??! But it's GREAT to get home too!

Tail Wuggles, Rubie.

You look as if you are growing up old fellow, so slender and tall, with a face so proud and happy. The fresh salt air does ANY BODY GOOD, PEEP OR POOCH! George that is quite the place! The photo of what was it? a dam? a pier? curving off into the distance was mesmerizing! Of course luved all the others too! The diving bells were interesting (funny you peeking through one of the ports ;), and that bridge was wild! Lots and lots of stainless steel went into that baby! The harbor is so relaxing to look at :D Thanks for sharing your lovely holiday! :D

Sad news about the caravan! Hope you get a fun holiday next year anyway. Those were more amazing photos - what a beautiful place. Leigh's Mum has just bought a little campervan for her and her friend and their 2 whippets to holiday in. I don't think it would fit us 5 dogs though! Love from Magic x

George-
That looks like such a great place to have a holiday. We love your mama's pictures. What's that yellow thing? Looks like an old scuba suit...
Next summer, you should come to Oregon! Stanzie would like that :)

Just love the photos of the shore (and the bi-lingual seagull sign). :) Sorry about the caravan (we call those trailers/RVs over here). I know you'll find some exciting new place to replace it, though. :)

Hey George, you do have a great life...all the places that you go and all those fun stairs that you get to climb up and down. Me, well, I have the stair situation down pat now since I am an adult (turned 1 two weeks ago), but Ginger, well, she is only 10 weeks old, but she is already trying to do the stairs even though Mom tells her no....I'm kinda afraid to see what she will be like in a few months if she is already a little terror..uh, I mean terrier. We think all your photos could be postcards...they are sooooo pretty!! Thanks for sharing them with us!! Tail wags from your other terrier friends, Ellwood and baby Ginger.

It's sad to realize how things must change, sometimes. But ... we're sure you'll find new wonderful adventures. You always do. And now you have the pictures to help your memories. They'll last forever.

What a handsome lad you are, George!!!!!!!!

Our mama loved all the pictures....your part of the world reminds her so much of her time in Ireland...she lived there for a year while us boys stayed with sisterbean....mama was recuperating from two years of colon surgeries and complications that went along with them.

Sorry, we got a bit carried away with this comment........we are looking forward to getting to know you better.

There are some outstanding harbour scenes here particularly with the angles, clouds and sky.
Yes, I have only ever seen the railway station and the town back in the mid 90s when I used a lot of railrovers, so that bridge is new to me.
That's a great seagull sign !
