Saturday Steps + A Walk About

In a place called

Its in the middle of nowhere, and was like stepping back in time, but first we have some fields to walk though

All the crops are starting to grow

This field looks like its potatoes that they have planted, that's the thing that waters them its like a giant hosepipe

I know Toadie had Toad Hall, but Badger had a Hall to, it had a locked gate and you couldn't see it from here

I met these two horse's, they were happy to come and say hello

The farmer has ploughed this field but we had right of way all across it!!

Water at last!!!

Just time for a quick drink, and cool my paws before moving on

See I'm on a lead! my terrier instinct was saying go get um

We have just walked across those fields and I needed a rest, it was a very hot day and for the first time in years they had given out smog warnings, it was about 10 in the morning

The grass was still damp and there was loads of these on it!!
Mom has looked on the web lol!! looked on the internet and is 99% sure they are from the Mesh-web spider.

This is a drawing from moms field guide book, as the photos of it on google might have had you running!!

At last we get to the shade of a wood, just look at all the Bluebells

This is where my new header came from

You've seen the country side lets show you the Hamlet, thats what mom calls it as there are not that many houses

"Will one of you lift me up please!! I want to see whats on the other side "

Oh water!!! look at that!

A Big fish!!

Mom says she would like a pond this big!!

Even the bus stop is thatched!

"Hey Dad what times the next bus?"

The local Church

Is that the time, I thought my tum was rumbling, there's not even a pub for a drink!!

Just before I go, 15th May 2010 I did my first Saturday Steps,
52 weeks of Steps and here they all are

I will try and keep it going for the next 52 weeks!!

Till next time
See Yea George xxx

I will be catching up with you over the next week, blogger has not been working to well the last couple of days, and it wouldn't let me comment!!

Oh George that was an especially wonderful walk today, despite the unfortunate lack of a pub! The photos are just great. Bluebells, thatched cottages (and bus stops!), friendly horses, lily ponds. All beautiful. And you so handsome of course!
(I'll let you into a secret - Gail puts me on lead when there are sheep around too. Can you believe that she does not trust me! At least I persuaded her to buy one of those stretchy lead thingies for 'sheep alert' occasions.)
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
PS Cpngratulations on the 52 weeks of steps, each photo as gem.

A sleepy village. Lovely. Time has stood still.
Mama gets more and more desire to get to know these places.
But you are again the star in all the pictures!

We also had problems with our blog. The last entry was gone. Now he is back. But the comments is missing.

George - We think this is one of our favorite places you've taken us! We really just wanted to jump right in your walk. That pond is really great (ours has turned into a puddle-no rain). And the flowers are beautiful! Those cool thatched roofs make ours over here look positively boring! Too bad there was no pub - then it would have been just perfect!

Congrats on your year of Saturday Steps. Look forward to many more!

Oh yes! What a fabulous walk! The horses were neat, loved the bluebells, the pond and the thatched roof hamlet! Not so sure about those spiders! Walk fast though that field! Beauty everywhere you turned. Thanks for sharing : )

Wow! Your doggies sure have the best of both worlds. Living inside and exploring the outside. Since kitties are so small we have a little harder time outside. It is great to see the photos of everything that you did. Boy that was one big doggie in that photo, mom said it was a horse but not sure she is right. I do have a big pond and whenever you want to check it out teleport over and have a go at it.

You always have the best pictures. That bus stop is so pretty. I don't think I would mind waiting for the bus there! I think they should make a book about your Saturday steps. Now that you have them all together, why not approach an editor or agent?

Hi George! Don't know how we missed this lovely post, we blame the human of course. We love your new header for a start, you look great sat there in the bluebells. We loved coming on your walk with you, what a fabulous place, the only downside for our human is that meshweb spider thingy - big alarm bells there! The horses looked really friendly too, have a good weekend George, Dex & Louis x

Ha, ha, ha. Love your comment on my blog. George, old boy, I want you to know that I did not believe the rumor. It is so much more fun to share a cup of tea, or ale or sausages for that matter, with friends. Rumors are like dragons. Mayhap you should slay good and proper.
