Saturday Steps + The Face on the Bridge!!

Hello, me and mom have come out for a walk by ourselves, dads at home making a noise on his guitar!! so we needed a break

We are on the other side of Ironbridge, taking a walk on what was the railway line.

We're going to walk to the power station and back.
Best foot forward lets go.

Hang on I see a dog on the other side of the river.

This is where I got my step photo for this week, these aren't the only steps we come across!!!

Look one of the cooling towers

Its as close as we could get, them came a problem

See I was the problem, mom steps over this funny piece of fence no problem, well I just couldn't move, never had that feeling before.

"Come on George, cus we aren't going back the same way"

"No way I might hurt myself"

She had to give in, you can see I was worried.
Sorry yes I own up, she carried me over.

From that moment on I wasn't in the best of moods!!

The woodland floor was covered in these green plants!!

They smelt like onions!!

"Hey mom, I'm posing for yea"

"George quit shouting I can see you"

"Blow you mom I've had enough of steps today, I'm on strike"

"No I'm not standing on them for yea"

Nearly back to the bridge and the secret face

"No I'm not looking at yea, no more steps today OK"

"Don't get your knickers in a twist George, I will have to find you a naughty step to sit on!!"

Shes biting back now lol !!! two can play that game ; )

Look whats happening on the bridge today.
Its for a good cause.
"come on mom, get your purse out and give them all your silver"
"I didn't know that you have moths living in there"

She's gone all quiet on me, Opps pushed her to far

"hey don't get that sticky tape by me, I'm not donating any fur"

This is what you are waiting to see, the secret face of Abrabham Darby III

He was a quaker, so no portraits of him or his family were ever painted, but if you know where to look you will see his silhouette

Spooky!!!!

Me and mom are back talking,
she can't keep her mouth shut for that long lol.
She knows I'm only joking

Have a good week
See Yea George xxx

Bahaha, naughty boy George, I like the way you make her shut it. ;) I took a photo with some steps too, but they aren't as nice as yours.

Have a great week!

Oh dear little man, YOU just give me so much joy. Your outings, your walks and the people and places you encounter just make me laugh. YOU TEACH ME NEW ENGLISH EXPRESSIONS.."BLOW ME" to an American who loves linguistics, these are just priceless and fun. OH GEORGE MI MAN, DON'T YOU LIKE BEING CARRIED OVER? Mum has to carry me sometimes since I love to get away from her at times!!! SHHHHhhhh.....a secret between us two; I run on purpose so she can run and get her exercise..you see, she is going to be 53 this month and she needs all the exercise she can get. The best part is when she catches me, she picks me up.....ahhhhh...so savor every minute of the cuddles, son!

Come on over you two, for a slice of CREEPY CAKE for my birthday! HAVE A GREAT DAY!

There were a lot of steps today! Looks like a great walk...even if you needed some assistance over that fence thing.

Thanks for showing us that profile, only way we'll ever see it!

Your opening lines made me chuckle. Dad making a noise on his guitar.....I've got a guitar player in my house as well. In fact he has several guitars and when he gets the electric one going, it is definitely time for a walk!

Another great post! The Silver over the Bridge was an interesting way to raise relief money.

That is a really spooky face on that bridge. We didn't know quakers didn't want to be painted or photographed. Guess that means the Quaker Oats man in the U.S.A. is a fraud. :(
Have a great weekend!

Looks like tou had a great time again George fancy that - Mom having to lift you over ;o) I'm more than a little surprised that Mom didn't pick some of the ramsoms (wild garlic) leaves - good in salads and cooking, and the flowers in a few weeks time!
Like the new header picture too.

Man, we never jump over anything we don't have to. If there's an under, that's what we do. No agility here!!

Happy Weekend!

I agree with the "Castles Crowns and Cottages" in that she loves reading your English phrases and twists on words. I haven't heard "knickers in a twist" or "give them your silver" anywhere but in a classic English novel! So, I wonder, when or if you bark do you bark in an English accent? Heehee!
Loved your walking tour and your banter with your mum!
By the way, I FINALLY posted your therapy session with Dr. Daisy the official barkaholics counselor TODAY! I am sorry it took me so long but writing a therapy session is a lot of work because I had to search for appropriate pictures (with your permission, of course) and try real hard to be clever. I hope you like all of the attention you are sure to receive as a result!
