Saturday Steps+ A Church and A Dingle!!

Come on you have to come up the steps with me today.

Nearly at the top

Now I've had my Blogiversary on the 14th April
but on the 12th April it was Mom and Dads Wedding Anniversary 31 years.

Yes that is them on the steps, I think mom is getting a little to good at photo shop! we are all friends here so I'll let you into a secret mom photo shops my lead out!!! yes that's right I am always on a lead! sorry to dissapoint but my mind wanders when I'm out so I feel happier knowing mom and dad are close by and I won't get lost.

They were Married at St Marys Magdalene Church Quatford on the
12th April 1980

I was here 31 years later on the
 11th April 2011

Its a very small church made out of sandstone, and like all village churches these days locked up, so no going inside today

While mom and dad are having alook around I spot something!!!

It looks totally out of place!, can you guess what it it is?

Can you see now, its a lift!!! I've never seen one of them before by a church, maybe you have? I can see why they have put a lift there, that's a lot on steps to climb.

  Anyways
Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad, hope you enjoyed you meal out without me on the 12th!!!

Come on lets go, I need to stretch my legs

Next stop Dudmaston Hall, its not a very dog friendly place!! I am only allowed in
 The Dingle

Last time I was here we got lost!!! Link to the post

Whats a Dingle I hear you say, a deep narrow cleft between hills
can also be called a Dell  this one is wooded

Heck that cold on the paws!!! no I was not relieving myself!! you don't do that in streams!

See even in a wood theres steps!!!

Yes that sausage is all mine!!! pass it to me dad please.

I must tell you what next Saturday is its

St Georges Day

that's right I have a day named after me!!!
Not really he's the patron Saint of England,
More about him next Saturday, and me of course.
If you have any photos of places with George on send them in and I will put them on the post,
moms email is on my side bar.

Till then have a Good Week
See Yea George xxx

Hi George-
What a lovely post and happy anniversary to your Mom and Dad! Love the church where they were married, it's a shame that you could not go in :(
We made a special picture of you for St. Georges Day. We are doing the photo scavenger hunt this month too. We got stumped on the St. George's picture, because we don't celebrate that here...so we just photo shopped..heehee!

Dingle. Dongle. We are sure learning a lot of new words today. That's one of the fun parts of blogging. But the BEST part today was seeing those lovely photos of your moma and dad on their wedding day. They look so beautiful ... and what a perfect church for their wedding. We're glad you got to celebrate their anniversary with you there with them.

Your walks are always such a pleasure to take with you. We feel VeryLucky to be able to tag along. It's almost as good as being there.

Congratulations to your people, and we'll be looking forward to see how you celebrate your St. George's Day! Will you be giving your dad a red rose to wear in his lapel?

Happy weekend!

Happy Anniversary to your mom and dad! But I'm confused...were you photoshopped into their wedding picture, or were they photoshopped into your picture?

Either way, it looks great. You're mom is very talented at photoshop. I use Gimp and I'm terrible at it. All I can do is blot out a head here and there or smudge my phone number out of Sawyer's tag.

First of all, what a lovely church! Too bad it is closed up now b/c I'd love to see the interior! I can see why your parents got married at such a romantic rustic spot! Loved the wedding photo so much! So glad you "were there" to see them kiss! Hee-hee!
Second, I have not heard the English version of the word "elevator" in a long, long time and I got all sentimental about that b/c I visited your homeland years ago and heard all sorts of unfamiliar words like "lift" and loved them all!
You live in a wonderful country and I love reading all about your life!

What a fun place to go for a walk! I kept thinking you had a black sweater on, but that's your fur. My momma said she's happy to see the lift there by the old church because when she had to use a wheely thing to get around she had to use the lifts.

31 years Wow! Good for you guys! Lovely quaint church you tied the knot in :) Sooooo many steps! Good thing they added that lift! Wonder how fast it goes ;)

Thanks for explaining what a Dingle is. I was thinking maybe it was a dangle that jingled or something :D Beautiful place for a jaunt. And yeah, I still think you were taking a leak in that crik George ;P

George - Ack! We meant to include the WT! We edited post and added just for you :) Although we have to say, we don't think it looks all that much like YOU! It's all light colored. That's probably why we didn't include it originally, 'cause we were looking for one with more of your coloring.

As for the love bugs, we've seen Gordon by his lonesome pining away for the fair Darien who apparently has vamoosed. Guess he came on a little strong for her delicate sensibilities :) Or maybe they decided to conduct their courtship of our camera range!

Hi George, Happy Blogiversary, Happy Anniversary to your parents and .... Happy Easter. There are some good photos of you here ... even though you needed to go to the ... "shop". nice to see that you weren't tempted by the lift. What an unusual thing that is although it's good to see that they tried to keep it an aesthetically pleasing colour. It's obvious from the rest of the pictures that you are attracted to water having fun with the camera pretending to jump off the bridge or the play acting in the water !!
See you soon, J
