Ye Olde Robin Hood at Jackfield
Just down the road from the Ironbridge.
It was built in the 17th century.
The walk starts at the right hand side of the pub
Up some steps
I'll tell you more about this bridge when we get to it.
We call this a kissing gate, other parts of the country probably call it something else
"Did I hear someone say some thing?"
Must be hearing things
"Dad stop pulling me"
More steps to go up can you see them behind us
Time for a beather before going down the other side
Out onto the main road.
This was a very steep road down hill,with no footpath, dad made sure I was safe from the cars.
I can smell a pub!! I didn't say that dad did!
Its the river! looks high to me, wonder if the pubs flooded?
That better green grass to run on
We are very close to The Coalport China Museum,
there's the chimney in the top left corner, we haven't got time today for a visit,
but the next two photos were taken a while ago by mom.
China was made here from 1796-1926, when it moved to bigger china manufactures in Staffordshire
Over the footbridge, I smell beer!!
Oh I didn't say, this is over the River Seven.
About time a pub.
Its The Boat Inn
Just look at the door, all of the white lines have dates that the river went up to, if you click on the photo you will see the dates better.

That put a spring in my step!
This is the side of Maws Craft Centre.
The front of it, and back on to the road.
Mmmm, that Guinness looks like it put a spring in dads step to!!
"What you say dad, OK" he said we are to tell you that this bit of road has wooden slats, don't know why?
We could do with a book that tells us!
The building on the left is Jackfield Tile Museum
Tiles were produced here by Craven and Dunnall from 1874 to the second world war.
Just cross the road is St Marys Church. This is the back view.

Judy is from Wisconsin USA, and has been blogging about her visit to the UK.
I love to hear what visitors think of our country.
Please go and see her post and photos of the church, she also visited the pub that's next on our walk.
No we didn't have fish chips and mushy peas, Yuk don't do mushy peas!
On we go, the pub is just in front of us, this is a railway line that is no more.
The Width of the gates is 38 feet, which for some reason considered unique in the UK.
Hang on a minute, dads just showing me that he went down the river on a home made raft!
It was lots of years ago!
The Black Swan, also none as The Dirty Duck!
Built in 1750 so is older than the Ironbridge.
The Sun was shining and we haven't see much of it this year, so we sat outside on the benches,
most pubs in this area have benches outside.
As you can see Stanzie's at the Guinness, she's got the taste for it. That's my girl

Look what we come across, smells nice to, you can hire it out for weddings its got a ribbon on it,
"Stanzie I said, hire it out for weekends and its got written on it!!"
Good job she was zipped in moms bag and didn't see it!!

Grass lovely, nearly back to the start, there's the bridge and pub.
This bridge is called The "New" Bridge, well it looks pretty new to me, it replaced the old reinforced concrete bridge

Mom remembers the old Midland Red Buses, they are greenie ones now.

As you can see we are at The Station pub, back home.
While I'm warming my bum by the fire
Stanzie spots a beer she'd like to try.
Reminds her of home.
I'd like to go home,
its been a busy day.
We just have to stop at a shop for mom, she has a sweet tooth, you see!
Can we please go home, I'm bushed.
