We’re back home with just memories of our holiday, stuck inside as its pouring with rain
So lets
look back through the photos of our time in Yorkshire
At the end of each post will be links if you want to find
out more.
The first place we visited was York . As Mom said it wouldn’t be so busy on a
Sunday, but it was full of tourists!! And got busier as the day went on.
Anyway we made a bee line through Monks Gate down the Shambles
to York Minster. Wow this is big, they are renovating it.
Had a look in the Treasurer's garden before making our way
back. This is when we met The Purpleman!! We didn’t think he was real, mom
put some money in the donation box and he started to talk! He said he’d take us
for a walk, we couldn’t resist that. He likes dogs, as the only purple basset
hound called Bubbles rides in his basket.
Here are the photos
Happy Holidays

Oh George & Tess - it seems ages now since we met - and it's raining here now too :-( Great to see you exploring our nearest city - the smell of the hog roast shop is yummy! Looking forward to reading about the other places you visited too - woofs and licks from Magic xx
It's awesome that the purple man got to hold ya! And I love your pull towards the sausage shop and the cat trail! Welcome home!
Love your pictures of York. It's rain again!!! Have a great Monday.
Best wishes Molly
Hey George & Tess, you always look the part outside these classic buildings. Some great LOL photo moments from your Mom.
The restoration work seems to be continuous as it looked like that in March last year too. It took years to finally clear the scaffolding from the west front.
York is never quiet, it can be snowing, blowing a gale and there is always someone getting in the way of a shot with their own camera ... haha.
George and Tess, it sure looks like you had much fun! We love these pictures, but our favorite may have been the one in front of the sausage shop). :)
Wow, looks like a fabulous place - I've been past many times but have never stopped to visit - looks like I'll have to remedy that!
Tell Mom great pictures.
Lots of love

Wow, you guys were BUSY! Looks like a great time. I love Purpleman! You should have started running, that would have been interesting!
Kisses,
Ruby
Wow! How many doggies can say they've been walked by a purple man and basset hound?! That's a very cool day.
Oh, we surely enjoyed tagging along on your vacation with you! Great photos! Too bad that talented scientist died so young...
I hope you saved me a beer from the Yorkshire Brewery. I've actually always wondered (and this is probably a dumb question) if Yorkshire terriers had anything to do with and/or were from York.
Lovely pictures!
Your pal, Pip
What a wonderful walking tour. I love seeing the shops and what a treat to see the purple man.
Hi George and Tess,
We went to stay in York years ago and loved it there. We had our dog Ebony then and we went on a ghost walk! Don't remember a sausage shop though. Really enjoyed your photos, you look like you had a fun time. Look forward to seeing more photos.
So much history! What a wonderful time you had, George and Tess! The pictures are fabulous!
Love ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
The last pic with the purple man is cute. I got a kick of the faces of the people in the photo. Glad you all had a grand time. xo
George and Tess that York has so much incredible old architecture. Beautiful! Luv the purple man. He was real?!!! Way cool :D
Waggin at ya,
Roo
