Take a close look at the back of this house, its built into the sandstone rock!!
I'll show you more later.
We took a visit to Kinver Edge
A climb to the top
Just a small part of the view
Dad plonked me on the top of this thingy me bob
Come on I've had enough, lets get going
I met this mad five months old hound, called Bentley
Then this dog
Heck he was big, didn't get his name but his owner said he is a Leonberger!!
I thought that was a type of cheese!
Opps, mom just said the cheese I'm thinking of is Leerdammer, don't have a go mom I'm still learning
Not heard of that model before, he was very friendly. Good job, I don't think I would have stood a chance!!
The Rock Houses
Folks lived in them up until the 1950s
This is what's above them, big lumps of sandstone
They even had a rock house for there dogs!!
Ok enough of rocks, time for a pint.
We took a small detour on the way back to show you this place.
No mom's not photoshopped it.
Its The Crooked House!! the links to there web site.
If you ever get the chance to go, take a marble with you and put it on the bar!! it goes uphill!!
I tell yea you don't need a drink, dad came out and he couldn't walk straight, its like one of them fun house's at the fair. Mom wouldn't go in, she says last time it made her feel sick!
Happy walking wherever you are this weekend, hope the sun shines for you.
I'm slowly getting round to see you, so bear with me on that one, I'm still busy this end! Mom says thanks for the comments on her photos ; )
See Yea George xxx

What a fun post, George! The ears on that hound were wild, and the Leonberger was huge, but we hear lots of good things about that breed. And that house, how curious! Thanks for another fun sharing of your trips.

What an interesting post George. I do love the sandstone houses and that crooked pub! I am not sure I could have gone in either.
You see so many interesting places, George. And that big cheese wasn't a dog...it was a horse.
I love the places you go, George. Were any of the sandstone houses open? They must have been very dark inside.
We've never seen a Leonberger before.....or a Leerdammar either. Looks like you met two new mates to play with.
You always show us so many interesting things....those rock houses and that Pub.
Are you sure your dad walked funny because of the building? Just asking.

How I long to run in your fields....YOU HAD A RUN-IN with a MONSTER! A LEONBERGER???? I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THE LIKES! Man Georgie, those stone houses are something special. How come people don't live in them any more? Are they unstable now?? The crooked house seems like "The House of Mystery" in Hungry Horse, Montana. They say it's in a vortex. Whatever that is. Trees all wierd, etc. You have a great weekend buddy!
Smooches,
BabyRD & HOotie
Holey Crimoley! Those are the most incredible houses I've ever seen! I WANT ONE! no TWO! :D Why'd they stop living in them? Some of that sandstone fall down and go boom on their heads?
Thanks for sharing such a fascinating place!
Waggin at ya,
Roo
PeeS: Mom's dying laughing at that very cool crooked pub. She thinks your Dad was very brave to have a pint there :)
This is again a very interesting post!

Lots of love

Oh Georgie son, YOU CAME BY and you know, if you like, just lay down next to Balzac, and I will play you my hap. I guarantee you will have the sweetest nap. Everyone but me is sleeping at the moment; it is a wonderful, lazy Sunday and even the wild rabbits outside are out, laying in the sun, sleeping!! Come on over son, and take a snooze...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Those sandstone houses are really cool! And I love the pub...
We love the pubs your dad takes you to George. Around here.......it's "No Dogs"!
It's really not on!
That was an extra-exciting walk, George. Those rock houses are really cool. We especially liked the dog cave :) We've got some crooked houses here, too, but that's 'cause they're old and falling down! BOL Hey, that hound has the same colors as you. He was quite the spunky fellow, eh? We've met a Leonburger before, but just one. He used to come to the vet where Mom worked in GA. He was an assistance dog to his owner and was quite talented and BIG!!! Thanks for sharing your adventure!
The Road Dogs
Looks like you had so very much fun!
Those rock houses are just Pawsome! I have NEVER ever seen anything like that. Wow!
That pub looks like the person built it after having quite a few pints!

George. You always look so big and strong and almost imposing in your pictures. That one of you with the big ole Leerdammer made us chuckle. What a monster! (But we believe that not only would you have stood a chance, but you would've prevailed! After all, you ARE George the Lad!_
Anyways ... we always love your pictures of your adventures. Today was no exception.
