We saw that FG is going into outer space. congrats on your flight....oh, I guess you're still out there. Internet is wonderful.

We think our swans at the duck pond are babies, they aren't very big or territorial. Your swan looks big and cranky. Wise move backing off.

George, you backed down from a swan?? Are they mean? I know that geese can be pretty mean, so maybe there was good reason. You are just too cute, George! You must stop by and see Bridger and Misty.

Watch yourself, dear. Those swans and geese can be quite nasty if they get a notion to be. It does look like a pretty place to visit though.

Good choice George. They can be lovely to watch and have bad tempers too if you mess with them! Love those steps! Love, Holly and mom

I love this photo. It should be entered into a contest or on a greeting card. TERRIFIC!

Wise move George. Even I steer clear of those great big white monster birds (mind you, the seagulls in Aberdeen are almost as big).

There's no shame in backing down from a swan, George, they're mean, nasty birds who are always hissing! We don't like them!

GEOGE MI MAN!!! You are brave son, but in the end, you must be wise to back away from these feathered fools! Mi mum almost got GOOSED by a Canadian goose at our local zoo. THANK GOODNESS FOR THE QUICK THINKING OF DAD! She ran just in the nick of time to escape a sore bum!!! Off now to see FLAT GEORGE in space...I thought I saw an unusual object in the sky last night!!!! Anita and Balzac

Smart move, George. Swans can turn rather nasty in the blink of an eye, crazy birds.

Woofs,

I think you were wise. Those swans can be scarey and dangerous. xx

Wow! That is a HUGE bird. It makes you look little, George! I know that geese can be quite territorial/aggressive, so maybe swans are too! You made a wise move to back off.

That's a beautiful place with the birds too but you're right, they are huge! Beware of them!

Pippen said...

George... you don't want to be messing with the swans! They don't like playing!

Even people who are bigger than swans back down when they encounter a swan on a mission. A terrier who acts sensibly is never discredited!

I hope you do get a good walk! And sure, I'd be happy to have you link back to my 'One For Sorrow, Two For Joy' post when you write about the Black Swan. If you do happen to go inside, I hope you can get a couple interior shots. Sure wish I had taken my camera the evening we ate there. Have a good weekend. :-)

that looks like one totally intense stand off with that swan! i'm glad you are a-okay. my mama says those swans can be totally cranky pants...she got bit on the finger by one when she was a little girl. she gave a piece of bread to the swan, and then it got all piggie oink oink on her and wanted more! next thingie you know, *CHOMP*, and mama was cryin' with a hurt finger!
FG is in space?! how cool is that! i gotta see this!!
