Me and Mom are going to a Barn Party!!

Its being hosted by Patrice, no shes not a dog (that didn't sound very nice!!lol) shes a peeps that has being following me, both me and mom like her blog, there are allsorts of posts from life on the farm to recipes!!
Well its to celebrate her 4 month Blog-a-versary, I tell yea shes come a long way in just 4 months!

If you'd like to come join us just click on the Barn Photo and it will take you to the post.
I just have to answer five questions, oh and mom to!

1. Who would you bring with you?

ME "I can't tell yea, not if moms coming, OK OK just don't pass it on, a toss up between Stanzie and Fergi  but I'd like you to all come and join in the fun"
MOM "Well having been married for 30 odd years, yes I do mean odd years, it would have to be my husband"

2. What will you wear to the party? (Remember, it's 60's in the daytime and 40's at night.)

ME  "My best bandanny of course, I don't like being to hot anyways, no I don't wear pjams to bed!!!".
MOM   "Well if its in a barn I guess jeans and a T-shirt and a blanket to wrap up in when it drops cold"

3. What would you most like to see on my farm?

ME   "Well Patrice you said you have problems with golfers, I'd like to give them a run from there money!!"
MOM   "No George not golfers GOPHERS, he's always getting the wrong end of the stick!! I would like to see all your animals and a walk around your land.

4. What dish would you bring since it's pot luck?(Optional: You can post a recipe or photos of a dish if you'd like.)

ME "I can bring some dog food but I got a feelng it wouldn't go down to well, what do you think mom"
MOM "I reckon my home made Liver pate" "BOL!! mom thats so funny, you mean you eats liver to lol !!! go for it I'm looking forwards to trying it"
" don't be cheeky, we have it as a starter to a meal on buttered toast or crusty bread".

Chicken Liver Pate

200g Butter
225g Chicken Livers
2tbs Brandy
1 to 11/2 teaspoon of fresh Sage or I used fresh Thyme
1 Garlic Clove Chopped
150mm Double Cream (you might need more than this)
Salt and Pepper
Good Handful of bread crumbs
Tomato Puree
One small White Onion

Cook onion in frying pan with a small amount of the butter until soft but not brown add Garlic just to soften
Remove from the pan, add more butter and fry the chicken livers until cooked through.
Put onion, garlic, cooked chicken livers and the butter they are cooked in into a food processor with the bread crumbs and rest of the ingredients, the tomato puree add a little at a time just to colour the pate to how you would like it to look.

You will have to keep tasting and adjust as needed it is a bit of a guessing game

One tip is double up the ingredients and freeze half for another time.

Put into a dish of your choice and set in the fridge, when cold melt a small amount of butter and pore over the top to seal, freeze or eat

5. What game or activity would you like to do during our get together?

ME "Chase me, chase me or catch a golfer only joking gopher"
MOM "I've never done barn dancing it always looks like fun to me"

So come on you lot lets party, I forgot to say there are giveaways all week to.

Just in case the link on the photo does not work use this one

See Yea George xxx

Is your mom bringing the chicken liver? Because I love it. We have it - probably a different recipe, but the important parts are the same - sometimes here. It's the best thing in the whole world. It all sounds like a terrific great time. I might have to sniffestigate.

lotsa licks, Lola

I hope you have lots of fun at your pawty!

I would imagine that my chi's activity of choice would be to smell everything from one end of the barn to the other, leaving no stone unturned. Once Chico's done doing that, he'll pee on everything. Not one to be outdone, Shiver will follow right behind him and "mark" everything too! bol

Oh my DOGNESS George! Am I too late? Am I too late? I was just beginning to snooze off when Moma FINALLY started reading to me and Jake ... we are soooo far behind. And I see this Barn Party and your mention of little shy me! Do you remember how I blush and tuck my tail in shyness ... well my tail is wig wagging just a bit now, knowing that you even thought of me. I'm gonna try my best to get Moma to make it over to the Barn ... I think I'd LOVE a barn party. (But if I'm too late, I totally understand. And I don't get jealous, by the way.) But just in case, I'm gonna make sure my bright pink fleece vest is clean and maybe even my jammies, too. It sounds like soooo much fun!
